Uganda's Speaker Rebecca Kadaga says this law will take effect by the end of 2012. The U.S. State Department and Federal Government must take a stance against such blantant disregard for human life and genocide!
This law is in violation of Articles 1, 3, 5, and 12 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights passed by the U.N. in 1948. 1948!
Article 1 states that "All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood." - There is no brotherhood in sentencing people who live different lifestyles to endure the death penalty.
The signers of this petition humbly ask the U.S. to take a stand for human rights and to stop funding Uganda's bigotry.
