Due to sequestration, government employees will be furloughed (laid off without pay) for up to 22 days in fiscal year 13. Federal employees are just middle class citizens - there are no millionaires working for the federal government. These civilian employees made the choice to work for the government and serve their country. These employees often live pay check to pay check as do others. Their pay has been frozen for 3 years & now they are taking a 20% pay cut in FY13. Looking beyond these federal families, the decision will affect the general economy as the federal families tighten their belts throughout the country. Let's protect these very important folks and keep them working full time - they provide valuable services to this country!
