Stop the furlough of Federal Employees in DoD as a cut to federal spending

Created by D.E. on March 14, 2013

I/we petition the President and Commander-in-Chief of the United States to stop the furloughing of federal DoD employees for 22 days (leave without pay). This furlough action serves as an injustice to the hard working civilian men and women in DoD. As a leader of these men and women, one of the first duties should be to support and defend their pay and continued duties in support of the security of the United States. Allowing this furlough action to continue on these federal employees, reduces their overall financial capabilities, in-turn hurting thousands of families and their local communities. By not acting and eliminating this furlough action the esprit de corps, respect for command and control, and our national leaders will be severely deminished.
