The government should not be allowed to gather data through electronic surveillance without a warrant. Furthermore, the standards required to obtain a warrant to intercept electronic communications (e.g. email, text messages, video communication, etc.) should be as stringent as the standards required to intercept physical communications (i.e. a piece of physical mail).
In summary, obtaining a warrant to intercept electronic communications should require the same level of evidence as obtaining a warrant to intercept physical communications.
