The American Staffordshire terrier is a breed that is discriminated against heavily. Many shelters across the nation will not adopt out these dogs, and they are simply euthanized. This is murder. Owners who can no longer care for their pet do not want to sentence them to death. Shelters are meant to be a haven for animals that are on the streets, and all individuals who fall into this breed should have a fair and equal chance at adoption! Do you want to live in a country where the name "haven" and "sanctuary" speaks death? Are we not simply judging a book by their cover when shelters kill innocent animals simply based on their breed?
