The Arab spring has had the unforeseen consequence of initiating another full scale genocide against Christian and other minorities in Islamic and battleground nations. The unrecognized Al Qaeda allied group Boko Haram has stated that it intends to slaughter 50 million Nigerian Christians, a goal it has already done much to implement. More than half of the Christian minority in Iraq has fled the nation within the past few years. Syrian, Egyptian, Malian, Somali, Kenyan,
Ethiopian and Libyan Christians, among others are also targeted for extermination. Over 2 million mostly Christian South Sudanese were murdered by Khartoum. Stopping this genocide ought to be among the highest priorities of the US government. No aid, trade or diplomatic relations should be extended to these nations.
