Stop Gerrymandering by Enacting Proportional Representation for the House

Created by A.C. on January 17, 2013

Acknowledging that the United States allows congressional districts for representation in the United States House of Representatives (the House) to be redrawn by partisan committees/individuals.

Noting that gerrymandering causes gross misrepresentation of people in a state and has plagued our great nation since its inception.

We implore the president to direct efforts toward proportional representation in the House. Existing biennial state-wide elections will assign seats in the House belonging to that state according to proportional representation, instead of the existing system.
