Gerrymandering reduces, even eliminates, the power of each voter; both Republican and Democrat. Political, ethnic, religious, age and all other personal information should not be used to determine congressional districts. Only census bureau population numbers and local boundaries, such as city and county lines. The politicians should not be allowed to determine the shape of their districts to ensure that they are re-elected. Highly transparent and open national standards should be implemented and local independent commissions should be used to make fair and square districts.
