Reduce the probability of tragedies like: Aurora, Columbine, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma City Bombing and Connecticut School Shooting by reducing the attention given by the media to the individual(s) committing the crime.
Almost all this mass murderers seek publicity. When one of this mass murderers accomplishes his plan, he instantaneously gets the reward he seeks, the next mass murderer gets new ideas and gets motivated by the fame he can achieve.
Preventing the identities of these criminals from getting published would stop motivating future individuals from committing such horrendous crimes and hopefully the only life they take away is their own.
