All we have heard about lately is how the budget is in trouble and there has to be cutbacks in spending.. This has affected many programs in the USA from Social Security to Medicare. You don't have to look far to see something in the news about this cut back or that.
Imagine my surprise to read the other day that we were sending 123 million dollars to Syria bringing it to a total of 510 million ..
"Secretary of State John Kerry announced Sunday morning that the United States would double its aid to the Syrian opposition, providing $123 million in fresh assistance." *NY Times*
So we are cutting back aid programs in the USA so the money can be sent overseas ??
I petition our Goverment to STOP sending our taxpayer money overseas while taking aid away from the america people
