With many of the school shootings that have occurred in the past, we have glorified those responsible for such actions. Who remembers any of the victims from columbine? Yet, we still remember those who perpetrated the massacre as if they were celebrities.
We need to make it illegal for the media to comment on who the shooter was and what he did. This may very well save lives and lesson the amount of massacres that occur in our country. If the population never hears about such an event, then it would make sense that others within the population will not feel the need to emulate their behavior.
Any event that occurs within the population should be kept as a state and federal secret to prevent it from getting out into the open and inspiring any more individuals from committing such an act.
