Stop government overreach into private information held on (Apple) electronic devices owned by citizens or legal aliens.

Created by C.W. on February 18, 2016

Recently Apple (a manufacturer of consumer electronic devices such as iPhones, iPads, Macbook computers, etc.) was ordered by a Federal judge to create a "backdoor" to unlock an iPhone under investigation by the FBI in order to obtain incriminating evidence. Apple is appealing the order and believes this is an overreach of the US government. Should the US government win this overreach, any future created backdoor intentionally or negligently leaked by the US government could lead to their use by any government, business, or criminal to invade the privacy of all users of that backdoor's product. Obama please stop this action of forcing a US company to create a backdoor to its products and seek an alternative approach that balances the need for privacy with the need for law enforcement.
