Racial cruelty was born in America in 1619 in the form of enslaved Africans. Cruelty has affected multiple races, genders, economic groups and it is time we look long and hard at all of our motives. It appears that this vicious cycle is about to begin again. Let’s continue to grow and honor the all-inclusive dream of Martin Luther King concerning “...black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics,” and be reconciled as a nation. Let us drop discriminatory names, like African Americans for, Blacks for, Jews for, Catholics for, Protestants for and become Americans for; let’s overlook race, gender, income, and let all Americans be first class citizens entitled to all benefits and punishment equally.
