It has been proven that education has a direct correlation with economic success. Not just for the individual but for the entire community that surrounds the individual.
Yet, Bobby Jindal wants to cut the state's budget for standardize testing by 47 percent, and the Education Department by 48 percent.
He will raise expenses for classes not involved in the TOPS program for all in and out-of-state students.
These events can lead colleges like LSU to go bankrupt which would then cause students there to loose all government financial assistance.
The Governor doesn't even support educational programs such as the CCT and the PARCC.
If we want to build a better Louisiana we can't disadvantage our students.
