We the people ask the federal government to Take or explain a position on an issue or policy:

Stop Governor Scott from contaminating our water supply and allowing fracking.

Created by B.B. on September 07, 2016

Governor Scott is opening the way to many health issues in the State of Florida.

The Environmental Commission passed a proposal to increase over 2 dozen toxins , which are known carcinogens, in our water.

The proposal seeks to increase benzene levels to 2 parts per billion, while the Federal Level is at 1.18 parts per billion. It increases toxins which are created in the fracking process to extract gases and oil.

DEP also proposed the water be tested after dilution instead of at the end of the pipe before dilution.

Another issue: Governor Scott assigned two members of the Commission for this vote after keeping these seats vacant for a year. One was a graduate student, John Moran, from Stanford University who sat down just as the vote was being taken, Commission members were upset.
