Some states regulate puppy mills through the F.D.A. Some of these regulations are the same used on "food animals". Dogs and Cats are not food. To most of us, they're family. Yet, the female Dogs are manacled around the neck with a heavy metal band, like a bird wears on it's leg. The band cannot be removed. When the Dogs get pregnant, their necks swell, the band cuts the flesh and causes lesions, infections, and Gangrene. Our "Best Friends" are being subjected to horrors too many to name here.We kill large numbers of pets daily as a result of these Mills.It harms our economy,our worldwide image, and our furry friends.Someone famous once said,' You can judge a society by how it treats it's most vulnerable...
