President Obama has exploded the welfare system- food stamps, unemployment (in large part by weakening the work requirement), Social Security disability, etc. And adding people to these programs triggers their eligibility for a panoply of others.
Like Lifeline gives free cell phones and free service to just about anyone. Welfare recipients refer to it as their "Obama phone" and harp on the fact that they will follow him because "He takes care of me". This is NOT a necessity in life.
We cannot keep paying for lazy people who choose to fly under the radar on these programs waiting for the next handout.
In 2008, there were 7.1 million Lifeline (Obama Phones) accounts nationwide. There are 12.5 million today. STOP giving these phones and reform the welfare system to strict requirements.
