It is extremely wretched to wake up each morning to news of innocent lives lost across the US, mainly associated with gun violence. Police act out on stereotypes and fear when handling their weapons, and it is difficult to examine whether or not an individual can be stable enough to carry the responsibility of handling a deadly weapon. If our own police force cannot be trusted with guns anymore, why on Earth should our civilians be, who are not sworn under any oath? End the distribution and bearing of guns as a right in the United States, to everyone, including our policeman. Guns should only be used in extraneous circumstances; there are many ways to disarm a criminal, or take a safety precaution against a "suspicious" citizen other than gun.
