As you know, the death of 15-year-old Hadiya Pendleton, who performed at your inauguration, has shocked the nation and demonstrated the rampant violence occurring in Chicago. As the third largest city in the United States, Chicago has always dealing with violence and crime, but gun violence appears to be escalating out of control. A recent protest has started, led by Jesse Jackson, to ask for your assistance in creating solutions to end this cycle of gun violence in Chicago.
