Stop harassing minorities in Sri Lanka by the Government of Sri Lanka

We, the Sri Lankan-American community from Sri Lanka, request that the Obama administration recognize that the government of Sri Lanka consistently violates the fundamental human rights of minority Tamils, Muslims and Christians. The recent attacks on Mosques, Churches and minority owned business places by radical Buddhist monks with the support of the government are now taking this so-called "direct action" every other day. It is part of a growing wave of anti-Muslim activities in Sri Lanka carried out by these groups- a trend that is making many people anxious, even fearful. We request that the Obama administration include the plight of the Sri Lankan minority within the discourse on Sri Lanka and to take firm action at your earliest.
