My children were led to believe that if they went to college and borrowed money to pay for college, they would have a good job and pay back all the loans.Nobody was able to see that there would be a recession, and they would lose their jobs, and have to move back in with their parents. Forced to work more than one minimum wage jobs it became impossible to pay the astronomical school loans. They are still trying to dig their way out of debt but parents are being harassed to pay up. I pay what I can but am harassed with 560 phone calls a month from Sallie Mae and nobody wants to help. The people that call from Sallie Mae are rude, arrogant, and just downright condescending. These loans need to be forgiven or at the minimum decreased so that it would easier to pay.
