Northeast US especially NY State provides a huge percentage of the world's fresh drinking water. If High Volume Hydraulic Fracturing (Fracking) for fossil fuels is allowed in New York State, an absolutely essential natural resource for all life on our planet will be threatened. HVHF gas drilling process uses billions of gallons of fresh water converting it to toxic waste forever - it does not return to the aquifer nor to the rain cycle like most major water uses. Please sign the petition to save the future of much of the world's fresh water by preventing HVHF fracking in New York and elsewhere in the Northeast where precious potable water is still somewhat abundant. Only 2% of the world's water is fresh. We face a future of water scarcity in the world and you can't drink natural gas.
