With respect to nuclear weapons and Settlements Israel is consistently held to a different international standard than other nations. The cost of our policies is instability in the Middle East and a permanent impasse to the Palestinian-Israeli peace process. Our prejudiced support of Israel is a barrier to many of goals that we claim to have for democracy and peace in the Middle East. We should be honest and fair in our dealings with Israel, and not support double standards.
Settlements are a long, slow, passive invasion of another territory, and need to be acknowledged as wrong at the UN security counsel.
Israel is widely suspected of maintaining an secret, undeclared nuclear arsenal. They should be held to the same level of scrutiny as other nations with nuclear capabilities.
