Real estate investors invest money in both single family homes and commercial real estate. They then do minor repairs and significantly raise the asking price and sell the property, or "flipping" as it is called. This increases what home buyers have to pay to own a home and for those renting it seriously increases the amount of rent they have to pay. This forces many first time home buyers to put off purchasing a home and for renters many end up moving in with relatives or friends.
I call on the president to ban this practice so that only buyers who want the property for themselves can buy it instead of just raising the price and reselling it.
