Mr. President,
Please regulate the amount of time it takes for a home modification application to be processed correctly. it appears that the mortgage companies are not adhering to the laws in place at this time, but using stall tactics and other methods to cause homeowners to give up or become discouraged in the process. In addition these companies are not clear on the guidelines and information that is used to determine approval. I personally have been in the system with Chase for almost 3 years asking for a simply interest rate reduction and/or principal reduction. Meanwhile it appears the companies are now peddling a payment for voluntary "Deed in Lieu", which may not be the necessary option for most people. Please Please Please help save our homes.....Thank you.
