Stop horse slaughter for good

Created by L.B. on February 13, 2013

Horses are full of grace, elegance, and beauty. They helped carry our brave soldiers through battle, they carried heavy weaponry, they help with work on a ranch, and this is how we are repaying them.

Each year, there are at least 100,000 horses slaughtered. People are sending their horses to the slaughter house simply because they don't want them any more, and they just don't want to spend the time looking for a good home for them. What makes this even worse is the fact that not all slaughter houses practice humane ways of putting down the animals. It has become an easy way out for animal owners who simply don't want to live up to the commitment that they made, when they took the responsibility of owning a horse.
