Horses have helped us build our nation and carry us across it, they are not raised and bred for food. Horses in the USA have been injected and fed items that make them not safe for human consumption to us or anyone else. The standards they are shipped in and processed in are far from even fair. Meat buyers up the prices on horses so everyday buyers can't even afford them to offer them good caring homes. 80% of our nation is against horse slaughter. Most horses that are slaughtered are in good condition with no lameness or health issues, some have been stolen, some where taken from good homes and promised a good home. I myself am scared to sell a horse for fear it will end in this fate, this should not be a fear to anyone. These are not just animals and non deserve this fate!
