stop House Bill 693 from being active in North Carolina, or anywhere.

Created by D.G. on February 23, 2014

House Bill 693 would make North Carolina the only state in the country to require parental consent in mental and physical health issues. However, it would also create a huge gap between teens who want to get treatment to teens that actually DO get treatment. This will not bring families together, but rather apart. It would create lies about "being okay", and the feeling that you couldn't trust the members of your family. I am a schizophrenic, and I'm yet to get mental help because my mother doesn't want me to, and she certainly wouldn't sign a sheet to admit me into a psychiatry.
