Stop Human trafficking and protect vulnerable, legitimate workers, by creating legislation to legalize sex work.

Created by N.S. on May 26, 2015

Legalizing, regulating and unionizing a sex worker industry would ensure that sex workers are of age, protected by workers rights and adhere to regulations and standards. There is no denial that a sex industry thrives in this country and around the world. Too often, this involves non-consensual, minors. It also includes adult professionals who are consensual and whom engage in mutually beneficial commerce. Legalization and regulation would lead to a clear distinction between the two and would further lend to protect, mostly female workers, in an industry where they are at great risk. Increased access to safe and legal sexual commerce would discourage black markets and regulation would ensure safety and protection for both consumers and service providers. Federal regulation is vital.
