Every day, hundreds of Syrian families walk for days across deserts with their small children, fleeing war, and crossing borders into neighboring countries. December 1, the World Food Program (WFP) suspended food vouchers because countries did not give what they promised. WFP was feeding 1.5 million Syrian refugees in the surrounding countries--Lebanon, Iraq, Jordan, Turkey; and food shipments into parts of Syria itself are hampered. Without the food vouchers and with the cold winter, thousands will starve. The US should insist the situation be corrected NOW; we have given a lot and can give more and we can LEAD by pressuring recalcitrant donor countries to fulfill aid pledges. It's our moral responsibility.
