Whitehouse.gov recently shot down petitions regarding industrial hemp, the war on drugs, and Marijuana for Veterans with PTSD.
Hemp is illegal because it contains THC, marijuana's active ingredient. Hemp has a THC content around 0.05%. Marijuana is 100-300x more potent and already the easiest illegal drug to obtain. A hemp industry will not affect use or availability.
Hundreds of independent studies show Marijuana/Hemp is a versatile, therapeutic, and nontoxic crop. It has less negative impact on personal health and society than alcohol or tobacco. Marijuana has proven medical value and is available in controlled non-smoked forms.
Please stand with me in telling the President and his policy makers to stop ignoring the facts and come to a reasonable conclusion about Marijuana.
