Recently the president issued a statement in response to the various gun control petitions on the We the People website. However, his response failed to address any of the Pro second amendment petitions and categorically assumed all petitions were in favor of increasing gun control and limiting our second amendment rights. We demand that the president acknowledge the wishes of law abiding Americans in support of the second amendment.
Amongst those wishes are:
-Do not renew the assault weapons ban (support by United States V Miller circa 1939)
-Remove gun free zones (with the exception of the attack on US Rep Giffords; since 1950, all public shootings in which more then three people were killed happened in gun free zones)
-Focus on the motives for mass shootings and not the tools used.
