Presently, lawmakers in Florida, Texas and Kentucky all have proposed legislation which would make it a crime for a person to use a restroom or changing room that does not correspond with their biologically assigned gender, regardless of the individual’s stated gender identity or surgial completion.
These proposed legislations are problematic and dangerous to the very citizens these legislators are sworn in to protect. These proposed legislations would not only crimalize a very innocent person but also opens the door for ignorance and hate to occur just because someone assumes you're Trans. A person could simply assume you are in the wrong place and have every right to have you arrested, humiliated thrown in jail, and put an already below poverty line person in even more financial debt
