this country was founded on and built by open immigration, what I think should be done is, go back to open immigration, but with harsher laws for illegal immigration. If they're legal, put them under the same wage and tax laws as citizens, but hold certain benefits(welfare, social sec., etc) for natural born and possibly naturalized citizens(after a certain number of years worked, or taxes paid).
