EMail Spam and Telemarketing are the singlular privacy issue of our time. Day and Night Americans are bombarded by unwanted, illegal and deceptive solicitations which clog their in boxes, interrupt their meals, sleep and family time, and are easily preventable. The government Do Not Call program is widely perceived to be ineffective to put it mildly and EMail spam is generated from every corner of the world and targetted at every connected American. A government that can scan every email and listen to every phone call can certainly quickly and effectively address this issue. In fact, existing ISP's and Telco's likewise could accomplish the task but instead many, like Verizon, would rather charge customers to block unwanted telephone numbers. On this we can all agree.
