There are many shark species that are on the verge of extinction due to the demand for their fins. In the United States, the importation of shark fins is legal and many companies take advantage of that. The United States should play an important role in trying to preserve the nature that is still left in tact on this earth, therefore legislation should be passed to ban the importation of shark fins into the United States.
