In the state of Missouri men and women that fail to make their child support payments on time are sentenced to prison. Therefore making it so that the petitioner for the support gets ZERO monetary help, leaving it up to the taxpayers to pick up the slack in two ways, paying for the housing of the inmate in state prisons and supporting the petitioner via food stamps and state assistance...how can these people ever catch up, get ahead or get out of the system if they are incurring such high arrears while incarcerated.
