Increasing H1B visas in technology helps already prosperous US companies at the expense of US citizens. Increasing H1B visas will only reduce already stagnant salaries and job opportunities in the technology sector. Unemployment rates are currently high for senior software engineers and people who have been in the field for more than five years. Increasing H1B visas deprives US citizens of middle class job opportunities and reasons to go into the technology field at all.
