Veterans retirement pay taxes recently increased; the Obama administration and the Department of Defense want to increase co-pays on medical and dental benefits. This increase in co-pays is based upon the assumption that veterans have a secondary insurance company from their second job. No data has been presented showing that a large percentage of veterans actually have both a second job and a secondary insurance provider.
