College tuition costs have risen by over 500% since 1985. Along with that, the government is starting to provide less and less financial aid to those students who attend college making it more difficult to afford a college education. Rising tuition rates must be stopped, not only to make college more affordable for all, but to hopefully decrease the amount of loans students take out. Loans that currently contribute to the United States' skyrocketing debt.
