STOP individual states from placing a silent lien on one's primary residence in return for food stamps or medical care

Created by D.P. on June 22, 2013

Hundreds of thousands of families collect medical benefits and food stamps from each state and never have to be concerned with repayment while those who own their home are subject to a "silent lien" on their assets that will be used as repayment upon their death.
A benefit recipient that collects funds for many years never has to repay, even if they begin working. Therefore we believe Homeowners should not be held to a repayment promise that others are not simply because they own a home.
We believe the primary resident should be exempt from this rule as is targets homeowners in a way that is discriminatory.
