The industrial agriculture industry has been pushing for legislation that would make it illegal for employees or investigative journalists to film operations at their facilities, including farms and meat processing plants. Historically, these videos have uncovered serious abuses by these companies. With this legislation, which has passed in several States, future abuses will go unchecked. Investigative journalism and undercover activism is the only tool we have to expose these abuses. By making these activities illegal, we are allowing these companies to hide behind the law. We, as consumers, have a right to know how our food is raised and processed. Please let the President and your representatives know that we should keep the food industry transparent!
