Millions of legitimate, responsible, chronic pain patients with non-cancer pain are suffering greatly because of the massive Government spotlight placed only on the dark side of opioid medications in an effort to address addiction & abuse. Drs are now stopping or drastically reducing these medications to the point that many patients' quality of life is GONE! The stigma surrounding opioid medications is now taking away this viable, last resort option for pts all across the country. Furthermore, it has resulted in chronic pain pts without physicians willing to treat their pain. It is especially hard for the pts. with long, complex histories who have not benefitted from other treatments or surgeries and, therefore, require these medications in order to maintain their quality of life!
