NALED is a pesticide for agricultural use wanted to be used to kill mosquitoes transmitting the ZICA Virus in Puerto Rico, but also it can kill bees, which are necessary for pollination and development our agriculture. Aerial spraying of NALED over populated rural and urban areas won’t focus only on mosquitoes; actually it will be breathed in by the people and animals. One of the warning notes on the label says the NALED IS MORTAL IF BREATHED IN. Also, it will pollute our fresh water sources, crops, cattle, puts in an unnecessary risk the health of the people. For the reasons explained before, we ask the petition to the White House, the Congress and President Obama to help Puerto Rico by putting a cease and desist order to stop the initiative of aerial spraying of NALED over Puerto Rico.
