We are asking President Obama and the USA Congress to place economic and political sanctions on China for placing the oil platform Hayang 981 within the territorial waters of Vietnam for the purpose of drilling for Vietnam's oil, and for disrupting fishing commerce by fire hosing Vietnamese fishermen who have fished in the area for generations. Also, we condemn China for moving the northern border of Vietnam more than 100 Kilometers south of its historic border with China.
