KS House Bill 2676 would prevent Kansas public schools from following national standards starting on July 1, 2017. Public school courses designated as Advanced Placement would no longer follow to national curriculum, instead following state standards. This is harmful to Kansas public school students. Public schools would no longer be able to administer AP, ACT or SAT tests, putting students at a disadvantage. The bill has already passed the Senate and is being voted on in the House.
