As the Alberta Tar Sands is an environmental catastrophe, and the transporting of Tar Sands crude oil across the United States will expose the largest fresh water reserve to contamination from pipeline breaks, as the Canadian corporation behind the pipeline is acting to violate property rights by seizing private lands through eminent domain, as the oil refined from the low-grade crude will be exported out of these United States and not decrease gasoline prices at the pump, and as the pipeline will not substantially increase employment, this petition implores President Obama and the State Department to not allow the Keystone pipeline to be completed, and to disallow any further progress of the pipeline in these United States of America.
