Stop the Keystone Pipeline project because it will do nothing but further degrade the environment and our resources.

The Keystone Pipeline is the government's plan to take oil from underneath a Canadian Boreal forest, where the trees will be cut down and water will be used to separate the oil from the sand before being imported to the United States. This petition is to stop this pipeline because it will destroy more of what little primary forests the world has, while wasting our energy and resources just to attain the oil. We have the technology that will allow us to live without oil, so there is no need to suffocate the environment just for more of this 100 year old fuel that will not last forever anyway. Why would we risk ruining our precious Earth (more than we already have) just for an unsustainable resource that could be replaced by things like natural gas or solar power? Stop the degradation.
