The oil will not benefit the U.S. Jobs will be small in number and not long-term. The oil is not ours at any time but our country is at risk from construction hazards, pipeline leaks, and lack of pipeline maintenance. Canadian pipelines do not have a good record.
If this pipeline is such a good idea, why doesn't Canada just pipe the crude across their own country to their own ports?
