Keystone tar sands oil is among the dirtiest of fossil fuels. Even Canada's own British Columbia doesn't want the tar sands pipeline. The US State Department's review of Keystone XL was written without disclosure of industry ties, and its undisclosed conflict of interest invalidates its conclusions. Its central conclusion that tar sands export is inevitable presumes a willing British Columbia; this presumption looks weaker every day.
